To say Jace and Dalana’s wedding in Mexico was a paradise is an understatement. From experiencing the rich culture of the city to the awe inspiring beauty of the tropical forest, this wedding experience truly was a fiesta of life and love. Dalana never pictured getting married on a beach or someplace outside of WA. She had a completely different vision in her head growing up, but after the first time her and Jace visited Puerto Vallarta together, they knew it would be special to them. It’s their happy place where they can completely unwind, relax and really be in the moment with each other. They wanted their favorite people to experience the meaning this place holds to them, so they gathered up 50 of their loved ones and ventured to this oasis back in June!
We started the day taking a catamaran out to Las Caletas Beach Hideaway, taking in the expansive and vivid ocean around us. Upon arrival, we explored the property in awe, parrots flying, flamingos grazing, water breaking on the shore, and the awe continued throughout the day as we were brought food, drinks, and the team set up the space for the celebrations. One of my favorite memories of the day is from the very end, when we were all headed back to the city on the catamaran, party still going hard with the DJ’s music blasting, dancing to the best tunes with the city lights showing off their color from the shore.
Jace and Dalana really thought of it all. From their vision for florals/atmosphere, to incorporating skulls & Mexican culture into the decor– check out their custom ‘Salud’ sign welcoming guests to their seats with a shot of tequila. I really believe that all of their guests and those involved behind the scenes will cherish this memory of pure joy and adventure for all their days.
This getaway was the perfect example of couples truly cultivating a wedding experience that embodies who they are and what they love. I think it’s one of the hardest things to maintain through the planning process with all of the clashing opinions, but Jace & Dalana’s wedding adventure was, case and point, why it’s worth it to stick to the heart of it– your love and how it’s specific to your journey. My one piece of advice to brides planning would be to be a bit bolder and unashamedly own what’s important to you. You may find yourself toes in sand, sippin on pina coladas with all your most cherished people, and I don’t think you’ll regret it
